# clsOutcomeIssue (code-table variant)

`clsOutcomeIssue` (code-table variant) is a code-table entry type in the `CodeTables` component grouping of `SAIF.Business.Claim.Legal`. It represents one row of the `OUTCOME_ISSUE_CODE` reference table, populated by `clsOutcomeIssueCodes` (`GetOutcomeIssueCode`) via `SELECT CODE, CODE_DESCR, CASE_TYPE_CODE FROM outcome_issue_code ORDER by code_descr`. It carries `CaseType` so lookup lists can be filtered/scoped to the case type (e.g. state vs. federal) of the legal case being edited.*

Note: this class name is distinct from `OUTCOME_ISSUE` the table documented in [Database tables](../../database-tables.md#outcome_issue), which is populated by `LegalNet\clsOutcomeIssue.vb` (a different, non-code-table business object) — the two share only a naming coincidence.*

## Purpose
- Represents one outcome-issue code/description pair sourced from `OUTCOME_ISSUE_CODE`, for use in case-outcome issue-selection lookups.
- Carries `CaseType` so lookups can be scoped/filtered to the case type of the legal case being processed.*
